270 ITA Issued on 18 June under British Columbia BC-PNP.
British Columbia invited 270 immigration candidates in its Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry B.C (EEBC) streams to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in a draw held June 18, 2019.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) allows the province to nominate a set number of workers and international graduates with the training and experience needed to encourage the economic growth of the province.
The invitations were issued in the following categories Skills Immigration categories: Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry level and Semi-Skilled.
Invitation were also issued in these two Express Entry British Columbia categories: Skilled Worker and International Graduate.
However, the BC PNP did not disclose the number of nominees in each of the five categories, But provide the minimum required Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) scores in the June 18 draw.
The scores varied from 75 for the Skills Immigration: Entry Level or Semi-Skilled Worker category to 105 for candidates in the EEBC: Skilled Worker category.
SIRS is a points-based system used by the BC PNP to evaluate candidates based a number of factors, including work experience and proficiency in English, among others.
An indeterminate, full-time job offer from an eligible employer in B.C. is required for most Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC immigration categories.
Express Entry candidates nominated by the BC PNP receive got an additional 600 points toward their federal Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which leads to guarantees an (ITA) invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
